Mark Ross

Biography

Mark established Ross & Co following two decades as a senior financial services partner with some of the world's largest executive search practices. Specializing in the asset and wealth management sectors, Mark serves organizations looking to attract leadership and investment talent. His clients include some of the world's most prestigious asset managers, wealth advisory platforms, banks and insurers.

He has successfully completed searches for board directors, CEOs, chief investment officers, risk, operations and finance leaders, portfolio managers, senior distribution professionals and sector analysts.

Prior to founding Ross & Co, Mark was Canadian Managing Director at Ferguson Partners, where he established and built the firm's Canadian operation. Before that he was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles in the global financial services practice, as a member of the asset and wealth management, private equity and insurance specialty practice groups.

Before entering executive search, Mark practiced law with the Canadian firm McIlroy & McIlroy, advising clients on corporate, M&A, international trade and intellectual property matters. He established an international pharmaceutical association and represented clients at trade tribunals in Ottawa, Washington and Geneva on NAFTA and GATT related matters.

Mark holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from the University of British Columbia.
